Career Notes: Sister, Shenita, plays
college softball. Planned to play at New Mexico Junior College,
but transferred to Wharton Junior College for his freshman year
when NMJC was not going to play the 2021 season due to COVID-19.
Transferred back to NMJC for his sophomore season before
transferring to Texas A&M for his junior season. 2024 season
ended in mid-August due to a torn labrum suffered while
dislocating his shoulder in a game, undergoing surgery in early
September. In first spring training game after rehabbing the
injury in late March 2025, dislocated a bone in his left wrist
running into an outfield wall, opening the 2025 season on the
60-day injured list.
Summation: Athletic, defense-first profile. Unclear how
much he will hit, but brings a speed/defense combination with
defensive versatility.
