Physical Description:
Medium-sized sturdy frame. Athletic, high-waisted, minimal remaining projection.
Hit:
Fringe-average hit tool, has shown flashes of an average bat.
Leans way back in his stance as he sets up. Crouches and uses a
high leg lift timing device upon approach. Stays balanced. Quick wrists, level swing. Solid plate discipline, doesn't chase
pitches outside the zone. Takes advantage of mistake pitches.
Power: Showed a lack of power
early in his pro career, but began to show flashes of average to
better pop in 2019, including the ability to clear the fence.
Overall, exit velocities are below-average league-wide, but
solid for a middle infielder.
Run:
Fringe-average runner. Not a major part of his game.
Field: Capable of playing second base, third base, and
shortstop. Solid-average defender with a reliable glove and
fluid footwork.

Arm:
Fringe-average arm, best suited for second base.
Career Notes:
Brother of MLB infielder Ramon Urias. Purchased from his Mexico
City team for $100,000 in late 2013. Dominated A-Ball, including
a leage MVP season in 2016. Played for the Mexican national team
in the 2017 WBC. Made major league debut at the age of 21.
Missed the first two months of the 2023 season with a left
hamstring injury.
Summation:
Once projected to be a first division starting second baseman. Has
shown flashes of success at the MLB level, but not consistently.
Young for a player with extensive big league service time. Needs
to refind his groove, but sttill could work himself
back to being an impact player.
