Physical Description: Medium
frame with no remaining projection.
Mechanics:
Deliberate delivery. Clean mechanics. Slow, extended leg lift.
Over-the-top release point. Minimal wasted action. Loose.
Fastball: 90-91 mph with arm-side
run. Uses it throughout the zone. Also mixes in a mid-to-high
80s splitter and an 86-88 mph cutter.
Curveball: 76-80 mph, mixes in lower velocities
early in the count and varies speeds throughout at-bats.
Slider: 78-84 mph. Can run at similar velocities to
his curveball but has a distinctive shape.
Changeup: Mid-80s show-me changeup. |

Career
Notes: Pitched nine seasons in Japan. Was posted for MLB
teams following the 2023 season and signed a minor-league
contract with a $2.5-million salary in the major leagues with Tampa Bay in
January 2024. Triggered an assignment clause in March 2024 after
not being placed on the Rays' 40-man roster and was traded to Boston.
Was designated for assignment and outrighted to Triple-A after
clearing waivers in July 2024.
Summation: Organizational depth arm.
Potential up-and-down relief option who can also give length.
