Physical Description: Massive
frame with minimal remaining projection. Imposing presence on
the mound. Looks to have transformed his body heading into the
2026 season.
Mechanics: Throws from a
three-quarters arm slot. Starts on the extreme first base side
of the rubber. High leg kick that he tucks behind his lead arm.
Low release height. Has some effort in his delivery, including a
stab back and long arm swing forward. Falls off to the first
base side. Pronounced head whack. Plus extension.
Fastball: 94-97 mph. Tops out at 99 mph. Power
fastball with bat-missing ability. Gets on hitters quick; shows
life at the top of the zone and sink at the bottom. Average
command and control profile. Generates a lot of weak contact on
the ground. Potential above-average offering.
Cutter: 89-91 mph. Added pitch in 2024. Short,
horizontal break. Used sparingly, but looks like a potential
solid change-of-pace pitch designed to steal a strike early in
counts. Potential average offering.
Sweeper:
83-86 mph. Long, sweepy shape. Primary secondary offering
against right-handed hitters. Will flash bat-missing ability,
but can be inconsistent. At times, will throw a version that
breaks more vertically and less horizontally. Potential
above-average offering. |

Splitter: 85-87 mph. Solid feel and flashes
bat-missing potential. Will show late diving action down and
away from the barrel. Primary secondary against left-handed
hitters. Potential average offering.
Career
Notes: Grew up working on his family's chicken
farm, a fact that has gotten some notoriety with his success in
pro ball. Was highly regarded in high school, recording 313
strikeouts in 163.1 innings for Franklin County High.
Transferred to Kennesaw State after spending three years at
Southern Mississippi. Friday night starter for Kennesaw State in
his first year there. Pitched in the 2025 Spring Breakout game.
Missed about a month-and-a-half from June through August 2025
with a lat strain, and the injury continued to bother him after
he returned, contributing to diminished stuff. Started 2026
Futures at Fenway South game.
Summation:
Potential major league depth starter or long reliever. Ceiling
of a quality multi-inning reliever or back-end starter. Lacks a
plus pitch, but has four pitches he is comfortable throwing for
strikes and size you do not often see. Really imposing presence
on the mound with a delivery that is uncomfortable for hitters
to face and solid present stuff. Has really taken to instruction
in pro ball, and stuff has continued to improve year after year
since he entered the system. Velocity and feel for sweeper both
took a step forward heading into 2026, the latter giving him an
above-average secondary with bat-missing ability.
