Physical Description:
Tall, athletic frame with some strength.
Hit:
Starts open and vertical. Pre-pitch hand movement and utilizes a
leg lift timing device. Long swing with a tendency to pull off
the ball. Poor bat control and plate discipline. Really
struggles recognizing spin and against velocity. When he makes
contact, it tends to be hard, but does not make enough contact.
Potential well below-average hit tool.
Power:
Solid-average raw power. Showed below-average in-game power over
his career, but had some flashes of above-average in-game power
at the Double-A level in 2021.
Run:
Average speed.
Field: Poor instincts
and reads in the outfield. Will make mental mistakes and miss
routine balls on occasion. Below-average defensive profile. |

Above-average arm strength.
Career Notes:
Signed by Atlanta as an international free agent out of Saint
Maarten in late 2014. Was a ranked prospect in the Braves
system, but was eventually cut loose due to concerns over his
bat. Spent the remainder of the 2019 season in the Tampa Bay
system. Signed with the Angels for 2020 and 2021. Posted
intriguing power and speed numbers in 2021, but still had a very
high strikeout rate. Elected free agency following the 2021
season and signed with the Red Sox in January 2022.
Summation: Projects as an organizational depth
player. Lack of contact skills and defense limit upside.
Serviceable minor league depth outfielder, but unlikely to
progress beyond that.
