Physical Description: Average frame with
minimal remaining projection.
Mechanics:
Throws from a three-quarters arm slot. Starts on the extreme
first base side of the rubber. Medium leg kick. Substantial
effort in delivery. Lot of moving parts. Short arm hook behind
where he hides the ball well. Quick arm forward.
Fastball: 94-96 mph. Tops out at 97 mph. On the
straight side. Needs to make major strides with command and
control. Potential above-average offering with substantially
improved command and control.
Cutter:
90-92 mph. Short, horizontal movement. Most-thrown pitch.
Effective against right-handed hitters when he gets it in on
their hands. Command needs improvement. Added pitch during Tommy
John rehab when his throws showed natural cut while playing
catch. Potential fringe-average
offering.
Slider: 79-82 mph. Throws
frequently. Hard, late break at its best, with depth and tight
rotation when he snaps it off. Can get sweepy with more of a
10-to-4 shape at lower velocities. Potential average offering.
Changeup: 81-83 mph. Pitch can be effective
against righties when he throws it well. Scrapped the pitch
after returning from Tommy John surgery and moving to the
bullpen.

Career Notes: Mostly pitched out of the bullpen
in college. Excelled in the Cape Cod League in 2019, putting up
a 3.16 ERA with 25 strikeouts in 26 innings. Participated in
2020 Fall Instructional League. Participated in the Fall
Performance Program in 2021. Participated in 2022 Winter
Warm-Up. Underwent Tommy John surgery on April 27, 2022, missing
all of the 2022 season and the first half of 2023. Began a rehab
assignment in June 2023, but left his third FCL outing with an
injury and missed the rest of the season. Began the 2024 season
in the injured list as well after experiencing stiffness during
spring training, making his season debut in late May. Pitched for China in the 2025 World
Baseball Classic Qualifier in Tucson during Spring Training,
throwing 1.2 scoreless innings in his one appearance.
Summation: Potential organizational reliever.
Ceiling of an up-and-down emergency depth arm. Fastball, cutter
and slider all show bat-missing ability, but command and control
are major works in progress. Fastball is very hittable in the
zone and on the straight side, so relies heavily on his cutter
and slider. Bat-missing ability will get him to the high-minors,
but will have to show more feel and control to push towards the
majors.
