Physical Description: Average
frame with minimal remaining projection.
Mechanics: Throws from a lower three-quarters arm slot.
Starts on the extreme first base side of the rubber. Medium leg
kick. Substantial effort in delivery. Lot of moving parts. Short
arm hook behind where he hides the ball well. Short strider with
a quick arm forward.
Fastball: 94-96
mph. Tops out at 97 mph. Intriguing shape with a flat approach
angle. Uses the pitch like it is his primary off-speed offering.
Gets on hitters quick and proficient at missing bats. Effective
in sequence and masks below-average command and control.
Potential average offering.
Cutter:
90-92 mph. Short, horizontal cut-slider shape. Most-thrown
pitch. Effective against right-handed hitters when he gets it in
on their hands. Command took major strides in 2025. Added pitch
during Tommy John rehab when his throws showed natural cut while
playing catch. Potential above-average offering.
Sweeper: 79-82 mph. Throws frequently. Long, horizontal
shape when at its best. Very high spin rate. Doesn't land
consistently in the zone, but has shown bat missing ability.
Potential average offering.
Changeup:
81-83 mph. Pitch can be effective against righties when he
throws it well. Scrapped the pitch after returning from Tommy
John surgery and moving to the bullpen. |

Career Notes: Mostly pitched
out of the bullpen in college. Excelled in the Cape Cod League
in 2019, putting up a 3.16 ERA with 25 strikeouts in 26 innings.
Participated in 2020 Fall Instructional League. Participated in
the Fall Performance Program in 2021. Participated in 2022
Winter Warm-Up. Underwent Tommy John surgery on April 27, 2022,
missing all of the 2022 season and the first half of 2023. Began
a rehab assignment in June 2023, but left his third FCL outing
with an injury and missed the rest of the season. Began the 2024
season in the injured list as well after experiencing stiffness
during spring training, making his season debut in late May.
Pitched for China in the 2025 World Baseball Classic Qualifier
in Tucson during Spring Training, throwing 1.2 scoreless innings
in his one appearance. Missed just under a month due to lower
back stiffness.
Summation: Potential
up-and-down emergency depth arm. Ceiling of a middle reliever.
Deceptive delivery and intriguing arsenal for a left-handed
pitcher. Strike throwing took a major step forward in 2025 as he
emphasized the use of his cutter to get ahead. Fastball plays
well off his cutter and can miss bats up. All pitches show
bat-missing ability and if command and control improvements
hold, he has major league upside.
