Player Pool Explanation: MLB teams are required
to submit a list of up to 60 players eligible to play in
2020 - including members of the 40-man roster plus additional
players.To help ease into competition, each club
will have a 30-man active roster for the first two
weeks, 28 for the next two weeks, and 26 for the
remainder of the season. The players not on on the
active roster will practice at a location within
100 miles of the team's home stadium, which will
be Pawtucket for the Red Sox. Each team will be
permitted to bring a three-player Taxi Squad from the Player Pool
for every road trip in addition
to the Active Roster. One of the three players on
the Taxi Squad must be a catcher. |
